Anonymous asked: Do I stay here and suck it up and wonder what I could have had, or do I leave and possibly regret what I left?

I have a motto that I live by : I never want to regret something I didn’t do. I’ve done some stupid shit in my life, but anything that I have done, I don’t regret.  It has lead me to this exact moment in time.  The only way things could be in this universe.  I have no idea what you’re talking about, but I think you should do whatever choice requires action.  Which way are you going to be actively doing something?  Choose that.

Anonymous asked: do you realize the influence do you have on people? i mean, you are not a famous singer or actress but just by being yourself and doing what you love you have gained so many fans! I, for example, was my parent's puppy, they would tell me how to dress and act, but since i 'discovered' you, i have changed. I got into college and now i work as a tour manager. Needless to say that i feel like the happiest person on earth so THANK YOU. and also, any chance of you coming to brazil?

WOW.  This is wonderful to hear.  No matter if it is your friends, parents, teachers, boyfriend, enemies…whoever.  No one has the right to tell YOU how to live your life.  You are the one who controls your destiny.  You pave your own road.  And I am SO happy you have.  And I am even happier that I was able to help you do that!

joeythinksyouareamindreader asked: First off, I just want to tell you that you are a huge role model and inspiration for me. What I want to ask you is, what/who is the biggest inspiration for you?

I am more inspired by words than anything else in this world.  Like I said in another answer, I am the quote queen.  Some of my favorite word makers are Jonathan Safran Foer, Stephen King, Shel Silverstein, Neil Gaiman, Haruki Murakami, etc..

wildprettydynamite asked: fashion necessities for Coachella?

Comfy shoes (my choice this year will be buffalo sandals or easy wedges), a floppy hat, as little clothes as possible, and money for drinks of course.

thewillt0fight asked: You're amazing; about a year ago, you signed my "You Are Loved" card back at your meet and greet (Short Hills Mall, NJ). I can't ever thank you enough for that, I still carry it with me everywhere I go; you'll never know how much that card means to me.

Awwww, I can’t believe you still have that!  So amazing.  I’m glad I could make you smile, lady!

sortamaybe asked: Hi Jac, I just wanted to thank you for inspiring so much of my life in these past few years. You have introduced me to so many amazing artists, books, and fashion. I was also kind of surprised with your interest in aliens because my friends always call me "the alien". Anyway, thank you so much for inspiring me and for changing my life. From one alien to another, Sophie

I’m so happy that I was able to be the middle man in introducing you to some amazing mindfood.  Us aliens gotta stick together!  :)

sammysamica asked: I read your story in the "about me" section of your website. First of all, your story is important, inspirational, and simultaneously universal and unique. My question for you is regarding the part where you said you faced many challenges in the music business for being female. I'm a 20 year old female looking to get into the music business. I don't know as what yet, maybe a tour manager, and I've had great experiences so far in college relating to the biz, but what were some of your obstacles?

The main obstacle being a girl in a boy’s world is that bad rep that most girls have made for themselves.  Girls aren’t exactly treated seriously, especially girls in the touring world.  If you haven’t experienced it yet, you will.  But you just have to believe in what you’re doing 10000000%, know you will have to prove yourself ten times more than a guy will, and remember to stay professional.  I have faith in you, woman!

Anonymous asked: Wow, I just read your answer about emotional stability hit me like a ton of bricks. What you went through is what I'm dealing with.. it's kind of insane actually. I really hope you find yourself and I wish you nothing but the best. Xo

Its funny right?  But the older I get and the more I learn about myself, I’m happy I have this need to satisfy my burning desire to experience the world.  There are some people who don’t require this soul searching.  There are some people who are simple and easily satisfied and don’t really care to reach beyond their comfort zone.  I just don’t understand it.  There is something inside my heart that yearns for knowledge and growth and experience.  I want to laugh and cry and scream and hurt.  The more I see and learn, the smaller I feel.  But it’s a humbling feeling.  And who knows, I may be forever searching and I may be forever unsatisfied.  But at least I am working to have the best heart I can.

Anyway, just know that you’re not alone.  I hope you take a leap and see what you can handle.  Because you can handle it..

Anonymous asked: what are some books you would recommend reading?! <3

Right now I’m reading Everything Beautiful Began After by Simon Van Booy.  I’ve been searching for an author with a similar writing style to Jonathan Safran Foer for the longest time, and I think I found it in Van Booy.
