Garbage - Not Your Kind Of People

I’m absolutely LOVING Garbage’s new album.  I’ve been waiting years for this one.  So far, my favorite track is Not Your Kind Of People.  But we’ll see if any others make their way to the front of my mind..

So my new favorite combo this past week has been Game of Thrones and studding anything I see in sight.  I can get a few pairs of shorts done in each episode, and I feel ohhhh so productive while I fill my brain with Jon Snow.  I obviously don’t need 50 pairs of studded shorts, so I’ll be putting them online ASAP.  Look for these custom, one of a kind vintage shorts up on WWW.JACVANEK.COM soon!

The Echo-Friendly - Same Mistakes

Another reason why I love GIRLS so much…the music.  This song closed out one of the episodes a few weeks ago.  I think this song actually encompasses the entire vibe of the show.  Young adult confusion, knowing you need to change but making the same mistakes anyway, sifting through a rut, not wanting to grow up and take responsibility, never learning, feeling disappointed, breaking your own heart…all of that.  We all know how this feels.

Bambooooozle through MY eyes.  And what a wild weekend it was.  I released a sneak peak of my new summer line (which includes a slew of new custom boyfriend tanks), a buttload of “I HATE EVERYONE” military jackets, flannels, and jean shirts and jackets, AND my new silver ring line.  Basically everything was entirely new, and you guys ate it up!  I was so nervous going into things, because I had no idea what the response would be.  So THANK YOU to everyone who stopped by and hung out at my tent.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Business aside, it was amazing to see some old friends this weekend.  Most specifically the guys in The Maine and Boys Like Girls.  Some of the nicest boys I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing.  The Redbull artist lounge did us DIRTY.  Giving musicians and open bar is always a good idea.  Yikes.

Now it’s time to start planning for Warped Tour!  I cannot believe it’s only three weeks away.  Oh myyyyy.
